Walk-In Pottery Painting
Come in, pick a piece you love, choose your colors, and let your imagination take over!
For over 50 years, our studio has been a place where families, friends, couples, and solo creators come together to relax, laugh, and make lasting memories. No appointment is ever needed—just walk right in during regular studio hours and start creating.
When you’re finished, I’ll personally take care of the hand-glazing and kiln firing so your piece comes out glossy, durable, and ready to enjoy. And if you don’t finish painting in one visit, that’s completely fine! Take it home and bring it back anytime to finish at no extra charge.
Zero experience needed. Just walk in, make yourself at home, and create a memory you can keep forever. 🎨
Pick Your Pottery
1. Pick Your Pottery
Browse the shelves and choose the piece that speaks to you! We carry hundreds of ready-to-paint bisque items, ranging from simple mugs, plates, and whimsical figurines for little hands to intricate home decor, planters, and large seasonal showstoppers.
Because we believe in preserving true studio craftsmanship, many of the ceramic pieces on our shelves are poured, slip-cast, and hand-cleaned right here by me in our Remerton studio. Our inventory changes regularly with fresh seasonal shapes, so you’ll discover something new every time you walk through the door.
All-Inclusive Pricing:
A wonderful selection of our favorite pieces runs between $18 and $38, with smaller quick projects priced lower and large specialty statement pieces priced higher. The shelf price covers your pottery, all paints, personal hand-glazing, and kiln firing—no surprise studio fees at the register!
Note: Prices are marked individually on each piece on our shelves and are subject to change based on current material costs.
Choose Your Colors & Create
Once you pick your piece, choose your colors and start painting. We provide the brushes, paints and tools you need, along with stencils, stamps, silk screens and design ideas if you want a little inspiration.
You do not have to be an artist. We are happy to help you get started, but the fun is making it your own. Your family’s safety is always top priority. We use premium Mayco Stroke & Coat glazes and Duncan Clear glaze, which carry the AP non-toxic seal. Once fired, every piece is completely lead-free, food-safe, and dinnerware-safe—so your mugs, plates, and bowls are fully functional and ready to be used and loved at your dining table!
Take Your Time
There is no hourly fee and no need to rush. Sit back, visit, relax and enjoy the process.
If you do not finish your piece in one visit, you may take it home and bring it back another day to finish at no additional charge.
Glazing & Firing
When your painting is done, just leave the rest to me!
I personally hand-glaze every single piece with a clear, glossy coat before carefully loading it into the kiln. The inside of your cups, vases, and pitchers—anything that holds liquids—will also be glazed. We use traditional low-fire earthenware, bisque fired to Cone 04 and glaze fired to Cone 05 or 06, which brings out those rich, bright colors and gives your art a durable, glass-smooth shine.
Once your pottery has made its journey through the kiln and had time to cool, it’ll be ready for you to pick up and enjoy!
